Three portrait photographs of Civil War soldier John B. Gallison. One carte de visite photograph depicts Gallison in the uniform of the Company C of the 40th Massachusetts Volunteers; it was taken by S.A. Cooley, photographer for the 10th Army Corps in Beaufort, S.C., ca. 1862-1864. A second carte de visite, taken by Albin Yeaw of Lawrence, Mass., depicts Gallison shortly before his death in 1865. The third photograph is a portrait dating from ca. 1860.
